Cornflakes, a popular breakfast cereal is often perceived as a "healthy" breakfast option. While making most Corn Flakes, Natural Bran is lost, making them very high in Starch & high Glycemic Index (GI) food. This also makes corn flakes a very low fiber food. As regular Corn Flakes are high GI foods (meaning they raise blood sugar quickly), and high GI foods are known to contribute to weight gain, cravings and ultimately, lower energy.
“Now a new study has shown that high-Glycemic foods like cornflakes, white bread, French fries, and sweetened soda are not only bad for the waistline – They’re also bad for the heart as High GI foods put undue stress on our arteries”
